Hutton Trench Trouser: J Crew (on sale)

My friend contacted me to help her find some emerald green trousers, preferably in a wide leg silhouette, but straight or boot-fit cuts would also work.

The Dilemma(s):

Normally, this would be a fairly simple request; however two factors really threw a wrench into the emerald-pant-finding-mission:

  • Season: Fall collections are already in stores, and deep hunter seems to be the most prevalent green for the upcoming season.
  • Fit and Material: Emerald-ish jeans and tapered, super-skinny pants are everywhere, but wider leg cuts in the same jewel tone are quite another story.

Despite these setbacks, I was able to find a few viable options. Click though to check the deets!

The Finds:

Cafe Trouser: J Crew (on sale)

In addition to the Hutton Trench Trouser in the first picture, which might have been restocked because at the time of this writing, sizes 00 – 12 are available online, J Crew also carries the Cafe Trouser (pictured above) in an emerald color (sizes 00 – 16 available online). *I actually snagged these pants at a great in-store sale earlier in the season.

ASOS

These ASOS pants have a straight, cropped and cuffed silhouette, and at $34, the price is definitely right!

Broken-In Straight Khakis: Gap

These slightly-slouchy-boyfriend-ish trousers are on the more casual end of the pants spectrum, but I think they could easily be dressed up a bit with a button-down and blazer; a trench and heels; or a cardi and a sparkly/sequin-y top or accessories.

I hope this helps! Please let me know 🙂
