The Dilemma:
Joy and Sunshine reader Shannon contacted me to help her assemble color-coordinated business attire that easily transitions into sightseeing-type activities for an upcoming business trip to the UK. (Luckyyyyy…)
The Process:
The first thing I did was peruse British editions of Vogue and InStyle, just to see if there are any major fashion differences between here and across-the-pond. Answer: Not really. Classic chic is worldwide. More importantly, it speaks to Shannon’s personal style aesthetic, so that’s the direction we’re going.
The second thing I did was check the weather because it would be just too wrong to suggest wearing a bikini top and cutoffs in 40 degree weather. (Actually, given that this is primarily a business trip we’re talking about here, that would be just too wrong for a whole host of reasons… although, I guess that does depend on what a person’s “business” is :-)) Whatever the case, Weather.com forecasts 60 – 70 degree highs and 50 – 60 degree lows for the rest of the month.
